You may have noticed that a number of changes took place at the entrance of Jan Sofat. Everything has been done to improve the flow of vehicles at the entrance gate. We have noticed the increasing traffic at the entrance and therefore introduced a new system with which cars are detected of inhabitants that pay the neighborhood maintenance fee. This system works with a “TAG” installed behind the front windshield of your vehicle, which on arrival in the right lane automatically opens the barrier beam. You therefore do not need to swipe your “CARD” anymore. Everything happens automatic! How EASY!

Remember: Every lot/house in Jan Sofat can obtain two CARDS for free! If you prefer a TAG you have to bring in your free CARD(s).You can obtain more CARDS at a deposit of Naf. 25,-- each.

What now: You can obtain the new “TAG” by returning your free “CARD(s)” and paying Naf. 50,- per “TAG”.

How can you obtain a CARD or a TAG? Ask for a form at the gate, fill that in and hand it together with your payment at the gate. (For checks, make it out to “Buurtvereniging Jan Sofat“). You will receive a notice when and where to pick-up theCARD(s) or TAG(s).

The situation becomes now as follows:

The left lane is exclusively for use by residents with a valid “CARD” (self - service) or a “TAG” (which is placed behind the window of the car). The security guard can not open the left lane barrier beam anymore (to prevent "miss-use" of this lane) This takes getting used to! The guard must check incoming traffic via the left lane, register and call first for approval if necessary. This can take some time! (Therefore: Request a “CARD” or “TAG” for your convenience and enter via the right lane!!)

Therefore also this request:

· Are you expecting a visitor? Please inform the security guard at the gate!
· Does someone regularly visit you? (Ex. gardener, pool cleaners, or maintenance) and you trust these visitors – then request a pass for them. If you are not at home and unable to answer the phone then the security guard will not allow them to enter without a pass.
· Also for family and friends that visit often need to have a sticker or pass. You must fill in a request form! These are available at the gate.
